Welcome to Frog Hollow Farm!

Our 135 acres are nestled in the hills overlooking the Hudson River between Kingston and New Paltz, New York. Riding and caring for horses in this special place connects us to the natural world in a life increasingly dominated by technology.

At Frog Hollow, we believe that learning to ride and learning to care for horses stretches our minds, our bodies and our spirits. Riding develops life-long skills such as the ability to organize, to think critically, to set goals and to carry them out. And, by partnering with another living being, we learn empathy. Our training focuses on Dressage which is the foundation for all riding. We teach dressage to improve jumping and even trail riding. We also prepare horses for competition in dressage.

NOW ENROLLING STUDENTS IN SADDLE CLUB! This wonderful after school program gives children an affordable opportunity to be around horses and learn to ride.

Beckham in Florida
Because of my back injury, I sent Beckham to Florida with Holger. He did his first I-1 2 weeks ago. They did OK but B was a little tense. Yesterday they did their second I-1 and Beckham got a 2nd place. In two weeks he will do his first CDI (international level competition.) We are psyched. And Beckham wasn't the only piece of a great day for Holger--he rode his client's andalusian through a mistake free Grand Prix (his 2nd time at this level) and on annother client's horse he won at 3rd level GAIG qualifier. Lucky us. Holger will be here February 18th to the 20th. Let's hope for no snow and temperatures in the 30's.

Jillian Kreinbring will be doing an amazing lecture and lab series at Frog Hollow FArm Feb 4-6th. A different way to understand conformation, and whether our horses are developing the right kind of musculature for health and performance. I have known Jillian for 5 years and read her MA thesis. She is truly amazing in her understanding of movement, health and structure. She teaches exercises for our horses to help them develop correctly. To learn more about Jill go to her web site at   jandlequestrainarts.com
