Welcome to Frog Hollow Farm!

Our 135 acres are nestled in the hills overlooking the Hudson River between Kingston and New Paltz, New York. Riding and caring for horses in this special place connects us to the natural world in a life increasingly dominated by technology.

At Frog Hollow, we believe that learning to ride and learning to care for horses stretches our minds, our bodies and our spirits. Riding develops life-long skills such as the ability to organize, to think critically, to set goals and to carry them out. And, by partnering with another living being, we learn empathy. Our training focuses on Dressage which is the foundation for all riding. We teach dressage to improve jumping and even trail riding. We also prepare horses for competition in dressage.

A Rider to Watch - Hannah Corjulo

Hannah Corjulo, a rider who learned to post at Frog Hollow Farm just 4 years ago, is competing to earn a spot on the Junior Team from Region 8. The US is divided into 9 regions by the United States Dressage Federation. Each region fields a team of junior riders (14-18 y.o.) and young riders (16-21 y.o.).

Hannah, riding a school horse Essex owned by Nancy Rosen, is trying to qualify to ride on the Region 8 Jr. Team. If she makes the team she will go to Kentucky Horse Park to compete against the other regions. There is both an individual and a team competition and the tests are very difficult. We will all be rooting for Hannah and 22 year old Essex. This is Hannah's first year competing at this level and one of the few (if not only) riders competing on a school horse.

Congratulations Beckham
Beckham competed at Prix St. George at the Pan Am Games yesterday, helping his team Colombia come in 3rd. Maria Ines earned a 66.7% at his first international competition. I am so excited. I took this horse from Training level to PSG with the help of my fabulous trainer Holger Bechtloff. And his education was so solid that his new rider started competing him 2 weeks after his arrival in Colombia. Will post pictures when I get them.
